Anybody have it? They have a new thing at Whiteface where you need beacon, shovel, and probe to go into the Slides under certain conditions. On other days you don't need it.

I'd like to have it for days you need it to get in, but don't want to spend alot of money. Any ideas?

I have a full setup... Been to Avi classes to learn to use it..

Transceivers are expensive - Check EBay for deals.. Or see if you can get a patroller pro form to knock some cash off the deal..

I don't know if this counts, but I know Atomic is making ski boots with some sort of reflector that is suppose to allow you to be found in case of avalanche. It's called "Recco" and the recco website www.recco.com/resorts/north_america.asp has a list of ski areas that have the equipment to locate these boots.
