Belleayre Mountain to Open this Weekend

With this kind of interest i would warn ya if your leary of terrian dont go... not only will it seem crowded it will not be the greatest of conditions..

well unless there is a miracle at the river and they open for the weekend i guess ill be at belleayre on sat. been looking forward to this weekend for over a month to get on the snow and things dont look good for the ASC mountains.

I was up this past weekend. There was a lot of blown snow, big whales, along with some natural. They could have opened last Saturday actually. I talked to the superintendant and asked him why, he said he really wants to pull off the opening for this coming weekend so he didn't want to groom everything out and have it wrecked.

I would imagine with the rain that's coming down the snow is taking a beating; from what I saw then I would say right now it's a crapshoot if they open saturday or not.

And to the person asking about the terrain. It's likely they will open Onteora from mid down. The trail is rated a black but it is really only a blue. They rate it a black because it's one of the mid-down trails they let bump up during the season.

Where you were this past weekend? I thought you'd be up there enjoying $2 miller lites, free food, giveaways, the miller lite girl and stuff with me??
