Call it how you like. Doesn't bother me. It is what it is. The website has no direct connection to Sugarbush. No sponsorship or partnership, and I run the site how I want. So what if I'm a Sugarbush employee? And just because my dad runs the hill means what I wrote is invalid? Facts are facts. The article outlines the plan. I wrote it because I could.

I'm a strong Sugarbush advocate, obviously, but I'm not afraid to point out the shortcomings and be realistic. It just so happens that Sugarbush DOES have the best moguls in the east. That opinion is based on the various areas that I have personally skied, and the opinion of plenty of mogul skiers who have skied many areas in NE.

Anyway... I'm through posting in these threads, because I obviously can't be taken seriously by folks like you. I mean, hell... I groom for Sugarbush and my dad works there... I guess that means that nothing I say could have any truth to it

c'mon man....chill. WTF do I know about bumps?

Perhaps I read you wrong, but posts like the one I responded to come off as condescending, arrogant, and standoffish. It takes a lot to get me frustrated... I guess that post just hit a wee bit of a nerve. I have worked hard (and continue to do so) to build some small level of credibility within this small industry, and to be so quickly dismissed as a "shill" is just a little frustrating. My level of commitment to the ski industry and the mogul skiing world goes far beyond Sugarbush. I think most people on this forum (and on mogulskiing.net, epicski, skimrv, snowjournal, etc.) would back me up here. As much as I love Sugarbush, I'm in this for a much higher purpose than any single ski resort!

+100 on Okemo bumps. They are sorely lacking in angle, but they are ALWAYS there, always well sized and spaced to allow you to really get into a rhythm and practice and work up a good sweat. With the committment i've seen from the mountain on my trips there, I guess I feel about them how a lot of this board feels about Sundown (which, I am sure, I would love if it was my local mountain).

Other than that I have to go with the Bush and Kmart, though I wasn't there last year. And I don't think Vertigo is some sort of non-obvious pick, I think it is right there with OL and DF.

Okemo has bumps everytime i've gone. you most certainly can not say that about liftline at berkshire east or the north face which was groomed out more often then not last year.

Its all fine and good to say a place has good bumps but if they are only there 10% of the time, cant see how that would qualify.

certainly wouldnt consider rumble a bump run per se either. an awesome run with rocks, trees, stumps and bumps. but a true bump run? not really.
3.

1.I distinguished between the traditional bump run of spillsville and the more rarified terrain of rumble. But top to bottom, there are bumps (as well as stumps and jumps!) on that trail!

2. Liftline at the beast was open from mid-december until closing last year. And in the last 5 years-it's been skiable more 60% of the time.

3. The North face trails at mt snow has bumps at least 90% of the time (more in a good season-though thgey are getting a little groomer happy on runs like olympic)

4. Vertigo-Killington. Yeah, you'd expect Outer Limits or Double Dipper, etc, I like this one better, narrower, better lines.

Totally correct on this one.

Vertigo has consistently had the best natural bump lines at Killington for at least the last 5 years.

BTW - Double Dipper - not seen any bumps on that pig except for late April. I personally hate that trail.

i'll totally agree on the vertigo assesment. not that i ski there anywhere near as often as you guys, but its been the most consistently bumped run i've seen in a long time at killington. it also consistently has the best lines.

Hey 2Knees,

Just wanted to say you styled some very nice bump skiing in the above Killington video!

Looked real sharp!

Anyone here ski Le Massif?

My wife and I spent 2 days there Easter Weekend 2003 (I think - maybe 2004?) on our way back from a trip to the Gaspe. I know it was spring skiing so the moguls were at their finest, but that was some of the most awesome bump skiing I've ever done. Steep, looong bump runs with virtually no runout from the top all the way to the baselodge. Pretty cool to be watching surf crashing on the shores of the Gulf of St Lawrence while skiing too. I remember "La 42" was a fun one.
