Breakaway binding for 88cm or smaller skiblades?

i plan on using 88cm or preferably the smallest possible skiblades/boards if i can find them. the only disadvantage i could think of for breakaways is if they unexpectidly break off when hitting a rut, landing a jump, grinding etc. when using such short skis, does it even make it more likely for a worse injury if the bindings are locked in?
am i sort of 50/50 that breakaways could come off unexpectidly and locked in bindings can injur easier?

don't persuade me to try bigger skis. i used regular skis probably 20X and last time i borrowed 88cm skiboards and love the better controll. the only thing i miss out with small skis is speed, but all i have to do is not carve, and i'll soon go faster than i'd ever want to.

thanks

From my reading, breakaway binds are more suited for snowboards because the chance for injury is less. Since when you fall you often have two legs going in different directions. Two legs are stronger than one. If I was you, I'd stick with release bindins.

I see you are posting these questions in all forums. Hope you get the answer you need.

i was told breakaways for snowboards are actually less safe because of the change of only one leg breaking out and coming off enexpectidly which is harder to snowboard with one foot than ski on one foot. the locked in strap snowboard bindings give more controll.

yeah i got my answer. someone said they've seen plenty of people break knees etc with such short skis with non-releasable bindings, and that it doesn't matter than much that they are like a third the size of long skis. so i'm getting releasables for my short skiblades and locked-ins for my snowboard.
