Where would you rather be skiing? I just started getting into skiing the woods and there's no question it's fun, but I still find myself drawn to a good bump run. If the lines are sweet, you'll find me in the bumps no matter how good the trees might be. You?

I ski bumps to get better at trees. I still think they are fun, but if there are any trees available I will be doing that instead. Bumps are the second best thing to woods, IMO.

for years it was bumps, bumps, bumps but i'd say the last 5 years or so, i've been gravitating more & more to trees. i still love a great bump run but now that i'm an old guy i'm just loving skiing the untracked i find in the trees.

Trees...I don't have the knees for bumps, but...I can ski trees all day, and I prefer the solitude of the woods.

Bumps. Seeded, natural, fluffy, icy, huge, small, linear, irregular, I don't care. I like 'em. Give me a foot of fresh in the trees or a good bump field, I take bumps any day. I love trees, but there's no comparison IMHO.

Still not all that good at either, but I'm improving in them all the time. Overall I think that I would prefer the woods over the bumps as the woods tend to offer a sense of adventure to me. I still need to get MUCH better at both before I would really spend an entire day at either of them.

Bumps are things i need to deal with on my way to the next stash...

For me there's absolutely no comparison.. Even when I mostly skied... Trees are where it's at.. All the elements of bump skiing involved...

Whenever I can I head for trees.... In Jackson last year it was all about the trees when inbounds.. Mushroom Chutes... Bivoak Woods... It's what I live for and practice for when I'm home..

Get good in the bumps and you'll have great skillz for trees..

I just started to venture into the woods this season. I have skied trees out west where they are spaced farther apart, especialy at Solitude where the best runs are in there. My fear of hitting one keeps me on the bump runs. Plus I have no idea where I'm going once I'm in there. Helps to be with someone who knows the way.

lol, no..I'm good at bumps, it just will kill my knees to do them all day.

i just was just laughing cause you hear that all the time. but in reality, bumps arent really that much of a strain on your knees.
