I feel like Benedict Arnold..... We're going to use our free tickets to Stratton on Sunday. I would love to see some of the action, but we really just want to get up and make some turns.

I expect a full report and pics Jeff! 8)

Yeah, I'm avoiding it too. No desire to be around even if the slopes aren't crowded. My gut says the 1/2 day ticket thing won't go over that big, though I do think it's a good idea. I'm still thinking slopes will be a lot less crowded than normal. I'm actually heading to Western Canada/Washington to use 7 of the tickets that came with my Descente jacket. With my pass blacked out for MLK weekend and the Dew tour being in town, I figure it's the perfect time to get outta town. Planning on using the Okemo/Jay/Bretton tickets for Presidents weekend. It's nice that most of the tickets don't have blackout dates. I'll update in the Sliding on the Cheap thread after I see if everything goes smoothly. If it does, that $219 jacket was an amazing deal.

I will gladly oblige with a bunch of pics for you 2 "traitors" ;) ;) ;) Something tells me that there might be some Vcunning Dew Tour pics popping up this weekend as well.

I'm actually looking forward to taking some pics with my new christmas present which is a Nikon D60 dslr camera with a couple of lenses. Compared to my usual Sony point and shoot that I use, the Nikon with the 200mm lens in the camera body should let me take some great pics. The Nikon is just too big to fit into my coat pocket when I'm skiing, but since I'll be in my snow boots when I'm watching the Dew Tour, moving around with a camera bag won't be a problem :)

Thanks, it is fun to watch the big events. I used my free Stratton ticket last year during the US open, amazing stuff. I'm sure all the "non-traitors" will have a great time!!!

Thanks Jeff! I'm sure it'll be a good time; it's a HUGE event for the mountain and I'm really happy they were able to host it.

We're going to take the Benedict Arnold mobile this weekend....just need to finish dropping in the LS1. 8)

Does Stratton actually let a British automobile that's NOT a Range Rover in its parking lots during ski season?? ;)

I'm going to afix a few BMW roundels to the ol Grand Cherokee and hope no one notices. I may slap on a fake New York license plate and a "BMW of Glen Cove" plate frame. :spin:

Dear Glenn and Jaytrem:

In the words of Benedict Arnold: “If your great umbrage would care to meet my high dudgeon at 12 paces, I would be happy to entertain you at dawn.”

In the words of vcunning: "Since my beertender is filled with Heineken light, I would be happy to entertain you at dawn"

I'll post photos from this weekend for you . . . traitors! (at least you could go to Sugarloaf)
