I was there on Saturday. It was pretty firm then so the warm temps yesterday and today probably made for good spring skiing. Cover was very good even in the trees. The only time I saw rock poking out was on the usual suspects on Misery Whip. That being said, I'm hearing that the jet stream has already moved up to Canada and spring is in full swing. If the current warm temps don't abate and they don't get a good snowfall, you may see a rapidly receding snow line especially at the base. End of the month should still see some good cover though be prepared for bare patches. Glades and snowfields may be done by that time. Good luck!

I was at Sugarloaf all weekend. The lower mountain softened up a bit on Sunday (i.e., Whiffletree area, etc). The bumps off of King Pine never really softened up.
Natural snow trails (whatever is to lookers left of the King Pine chair, Bubblecuffer, Winter's Way, etc.) looked pretty sad.
The snow is up there... it just needs to soften up somewhat. I think trails with snowmaking will be good to go for a while yet.
I charged into some low angle woods and found out why. Let's just say only the Broons can play in there.
^ I hope so too. Keep your fingers crossed but don't hold your breath. Brackett and the snowfields were closed on Saturday. I charged into some low angle woods and found out why. Let's just say only the Broons can play in there.
It never softened up. Coverage looked good as far as I could see. Were they closed because of coverage or because they never softened up?
I wish I brought my Bauers. So I should bring my Bauers?
My thoughts exactly. I'm just worried about the warm-up this week. That should preserve the base there anyway until it warms up for the summit ...
