i was channel surfing last night and picked this up on universal sports - frickin' cool, i wish there was a course around!

Sign me up! That looks really fun. However, it is probably difficult to get a practice venue. On the other hand I have definitely skiied on a few days when skates would have been preferable :spin:

My wife's uncle grew up in northern NY. He told me that he and his buddies used to skate down rapids in the winter. If that is even possible and he wasn't pulling my leg, there's your training ice.
