How many e-bikes

Good point.

One of our writers (Ripitz) uses an eBike as his primary transport (the rest is walking really) and I guess I was thinking of him. In a place like NYC it might be a good option.

Here's Rip arriving at Belleayre before first chair. When I asked him to ski with me on my birthday I had no idea what I was asking. He lives in the mid-Hudson Valley:

You think a foreign country's energy policy decision being moved from 7+ years to 12+ years from now is as newsworthy as the above?

No, he's definitely more right than wrong. The mandatory move was covered ad nauseum everywhere, whereas the delay was lightly covered in breadth and push. Now, you might say the former IS in fact more newsworthy than the latter, and I could 100% accept that argument, except for the fact my life experience tells me it's likely more than that in reality.

Wandering into TMI territory here, but my complaint with the low-flush toilets is not their lower power, it's the lack of suitable "starting water" in the bowl.
The power I speak of is the way the flush water enters the bowl and seems wash the porcelain down with out much issue. Maybe a skid mark after a night of Indian food and singha but mostly washed clean.

That's just it, the majority of these things are not being bought to replace a car or truck, they're being bought to replace a human-powered bike. It's probably like 50 to 1 in scale! Even worse in the far-east I presume where they're buying e-bikes to replace regular bikes.
This is definitely the case in NYC, where most e-bikes seem to be replacements for regular bikes of food delivery workers and most e-scooter users seem to be commuters who want to get to the subway quicker or avoid it all together. I doubt many are replacing or supplementing car usage. Maybe the users are cutting back on taxis...

I think you mean your bias tells you that. Conservatives are critical to a fault about what stories get covered and how in the media. And often make claims of vast conspiracies about why. That was a central feature of Tucker Carlson's broadcast when he was on Fox. Not saying you are doing either this particular time, but you certainly have in the past.

I find it amusing, but you guys do you

And 1dog, my bad. I was thinking about your UK topic and didn't fully read the LI bike topic you were actually referring to . My apologies

All good DH. Hard to see strings as we are all over the place on this one - good back and forth tho - I prefer to discuss with differing opinions as opposed to echo chambers. We Constitutionals love to tear into each other more than with the other side tho. I prefer max. freedom to make choices as opposed to having it dictacted by the state. More of an Adam Smith guy than a collectivist of course. This experiment is only 246 or so years old. Many are surprised it has lasted this long.

Your many, many, ceaseless political opinions on this ski website are refreshing and always appreciated.

Feel the love Edd.

Tragic what happened to your neighbor in Gillette Sunday night. Poor family.

Specifically why I bought an ICE golf cart
Nothing like a 50cc Kawasaki single banger for pressure.
A little bit of work and no electric cart in the ‘hood can even sniff my exhaust :devilish:
One time at Beaver Meadow Golf I drove a cart into a pond and sank it up to the middle. It started right up. After we pulled it out.

edit: You can do a lot of stuff when you can move at 15MPH.

This whole thread is pretty funny. We went from NH EV's to low flush Toilets!

FWIW, I have done multiple renovations and tried many toilets, My favorite is the American Standard. They can handle pretty much anything that passes through my body! :)

In my parents house they had the VERY EARLY version of low flush - they were awful. Literally would have to flush 3+ times to clear the stuff. God help me if I had corn on the cobb the night before.

In Europe the toilets have two buttons. The button for number one uses much less water, more for the number 2 button.
We have that at our place and they work great, but not really low flow. On our trip to Scandanavia recently, all the toilets seemed very low flow with two buttons and noticed no issues.

I think you mean your bias tells you that.

It's bias alright, but not mine. Frankly, even a majority of Democrats in polls believe the media is biased in favor of Democrats, so I'm surprised you seem to think this is some sort of crazy talk. And examples are everywhere if you simply look:

Democrats tend to "act" and "move", but in the news Republicans "pounce" and "seize".

When a Republican does something bad the headline is always, "Republican Senator Smith" or "GOP Representative Smith", but when a Democrat does something bad it's usually just Senator Smith or Representative Smith.

And it's amazing how many "far-right" politicians there are in Washington, but there never seems to be "far-left" politicians, not even AOC, Pelosi or Omar. Funny that.

Well I'm convinced.

This should end well.
