I'll play . . .

For expert skiers SKI SUNDOWN is BUMP CITY, experts should be sure to hit THE BUMPS. The best thing about SKI SUNDOWN for beginners is THE BUMPS and intermediates will love THE BUMPS.

Snowmaking here is THERE TO COVER THE BUMPS. Natural snow is USEFUL TO COVER THE BUMPS. In general the weather is GREAT FOR SKIING BUMPS.

The trail layout here is BUMPED UP.

The lift system here is GREAT FOR GETTING YOU TO THE BUMPS.

The most overrated thing about SKI SUNDOWN is it’s STUPID TERRAIN PARK, the most underrated is HOW INSANELY RADICAL GUNBARREL IS ON A MARCH DAY.

Overall I’d rate SKI SUNDOWN as BEST BUMPS in the Northeast.

Never heard of the place.

Geez, HPD. You really are getting pretty ornery in your old age. I'm no stranger to scrapping it up with people here from time to time and I find GSS annoying as hell sometimes too, but this is pretty below the belt. Why so mean-spirited lately?

You've been scrapping it up a real lot lately 4 sure.
GSS is always trying to get over on me. Maybe you don't notice it, but I do. I didn't notice you and Geoff before the latest either.
mean-sprited lately? I've hardly posted at all lately.

Pick any ski area you want and fill in the blanks with your opinion of it.

For expert skiers Sunday River is full of diverse terrain, experts should be sure to hit Celestial, Flying Monkey, Oz. The best thing about Sunday River for beginners is South Ridge and intermediates will love Excalibur and Rogue Angel.

Snowmaking here is the best in the East. Natural snow is lower than many NE mountains, but usually ample. In general the weather is typical New England.

The trail layout here is well spreadout and expansive.

The lift system here is fast and efficient.

The most overrated thing about Sunday River is it’s crowds which are almost non-existent even on the busiest days if you know how to avoid them, the most underrated is their expert terrain.

Overall I’d rate Sunday River as the best overall mountain in the Northeast.

I'd also add that the most underrated thing about Sunday River is the trees. Great glades!

Agreed! There are certainly more challenging mountains in New England, but I think sometimes Sunday River gets unfairly labled as not having good expert terrain, which definitely isn't the case!

For expert skiers Greek Peak is kinda boring, but hey it’s skiing, experts should be sure to hit Ronnies Run, Olympian and Zues. The best thing about Greek Peak for beginners is they have a lot of options and intermediates will love skiing with the beginners.

Snowmaking here is pretty darn good. Natural snow is bangin’ after a good LE pounding In general the weather is typical CNY rollercoaster.

The trail layout here is right in front of you, kinda what you see is what you get unless you ski with me_.
The lift system here is old and slow but gets you up the hill.

The most overrated thing about Greek Peak is it’s new water prk, the most underrated is the parties at the bottom of chair 5_.

Overall I’d rate Greek Peak as a great place for a few turns and a few beers in the Northeast.

For expert skiers Wachusett is boring, experts should be sure to hit route 2 out to 91 or 93. The best thing about Wachusett for beginners is Minuteman, Ralphs... lots of easy terrain, and intermediates will love the summit... nice cruising terrain

Snowmaking here is very good, with fast recovery from warm weather and rain. Natural snow is sparse, and groomed whenever it does hit.

The trail layout here is simple and spread out by ability level... but crowded. The lift system here is mainly HSQs except for the dog of a beginner lift.

The most overrated thing about Greek Peak is the grooming, which they do too much, the most underrated is the ski school.

Overall I’d rate Greek Peak as good if you're an intermediate or an advanced skier that lives close by.

For beginner & intermediate skiers Greek Peak is Great, they should like illiad, Karyatis Way, Pollux, Arcadian Gate and Mars Hill. Experts should be sure to hit Ronnies Run, Olympian, Odyssey, the bumps on the right side of Elysian Fields, Hercules and Zeus. The best thing about Greek Peak for beginners is they have a superb beginner slope, lot's of options and intermediates will love skiing with the beginners.

Snowmaking here is pretty darn good. Natural snow is bangin’ after a good lakes effect pounding. In general the weather is fairly cold in the winter as GP is in a snow catching location in the edge of the snow belt.

Grooming is excellent and if you get there early, it is a crusiers paradise.

The trail layout here is right in front of you, kinda what you see is what you get. Well lite with lights and many trails for night skiing. The lift system here is old and slow but gets you up the hill.

The most overrated thing about Greek Peak is all the hot chicks, the most underrated is the $289 seasons pass if purchased by mid-April and you see down to earth nice people at GP and hardly any snobs.

Greek Peak has a great adaptive center for the disabled and blind. Greek Peak is used for junior & masters ski racing events. Greek Peak is one of the ski resorts which hosts the 24 hour skiing fundraiser for curing cancer.

Many people love skiing the glades and trees. GP attracts a lot of snowborders.

Overall I’d rate Greek Peak as a great place for solid dependable skiing.

I guess I'll do Gore

For expert skiers Gore Mountain is Pretty Damn Sweet, experts should be sure to hit Rumor, Lies, and a series of legal and illegal glades. The best thing about Gore for beginners is the extra strength they will gain from skiing the flats and intermediates will love Showcase, Twister and Echo (and possibly Sleighride because I hear they're moving the park to Wild Air).

Snowmaking here is sporadic. Natural snow is hit or miss. In general the weather is pretty nice by New England standards .

The trail layout here is good. It separates people into distinct areas.

The lift system here is okay (a random mix of fixed and detachable lifts).

The most overrated thing about Gore is it’s Value. It costs nearly as much as superior mountains, the most underrated is the glade skiing. Even though it is rated highly, it should be in the Top 5 in the east.

Overall I’d rate Gore as One of the top ten mountains in the Northeast.

Killington

For expert skiers Killington is a place you want to shred at, experts should be sure to hit everything, and everything in between. The best thing about Killington for beginners is kinda limited....snowshed and intermediates will love snowdon, the glades area, bitter, cruise, skyeburst, pipedream, ramshead.

Snowmaking here is ridiculous, they can make a lot of snow quick. Natural snow is on a take what we get kinda basis.....avg. 250". In general the weather is all over the place, be prepared for everything.

The trail layout here is a mess, but gets you around.

The lift system here is very good overall. you can cover a lot of distance in a day both vertical and horizontal.

The most overrated thing about Killington is it’s hype to be so crowded and have too many intersecting trails, the most underrated is how uncrowded it has become and how much great terrain is out there.

Overall I’d rate Killington as one of the best ski areas in the Northeast.

I would have done it similar. don't tell people its not crowded. It will upset the bashers, bumpers and back country skiers.;-):smash:
