Killington is finding the weather window to make some Snow. I wonder how many of the northern VT Mountains are following and making snow whenever they can.

Only areas in US NE I’ve heard of making snow are K, River and Waterville. Others?

Problem is high country served by a surface lift with bare ground under the t bar. Guess they can push the snow? Also not sure that snow is intended for the general public or early season race camp?

High country is only used by racers 90% of the time. Most people if they do go up do it once and realize that is very easy terrain and don’t bother again.

Vermont Snow Eye candy.

Southern VT pulled more then just decent snow out of this moisture system that passed though Halloween night and stalled on them. With the cold dropping down last night and this morning I hope a few other mountains can pull some snow out of their clouds :)

Looks like Okemo pulled at least 8" out of this weather system. edit Down to melty 6ish" at 36 degrees lol

Looks like the middle of VT and down hit a winning ticket on getting snow out of this system. This with added Snowmaking if the Mountains blew all last night and today into tomorrow will help some of the mountains if they can hold the snow till the next week when snowmaking temperatures come back.

2 weekends from now "11" days some mountains will be open for sure unless temps and RRRrrrrrrrr go crazy.
Okemo could almost pull off a opening on some trails with this next upcoming weekend in "4" days on a single trail or two.

Killington getting themselves into shape nicely with Snowmaking. Come on cold, drop on down and hang for a little while : )~
*edit* Killington claims 3" inches on-top of Killington's dedicated "still going" snowmaking (24hrs straight by tomorrow)

Not sure what to make of that but based on the other cams showing grass coming through, the inch or so the Killington Snowshed cam shows, and the 1” we have at 2,300’ at Bromley, I think there’s something fishy. 8” I’ll take the (way) under.

That said, it is beautiful to see it snowing! Took my first snow walk of the season!
