As far as Gays vs. Germans vs. Left Handed People . . . . it's all about disposable income of the Gay demographic. From the BNET Business Network:

"$610 billion in disposable income of that 15 million-person niche demographic"

"Homosexual customers travel more often and spend more per year than do their heterosexual counterparts on leisure and hospitality services, including restaurant dinners, hotel stays and entertainment."

This seems like a nice business fit for an industry that may have trouble attracting customers this year.

The whole article is here.

same thing with phish in 94 at Sugarbush.....killer shows, but too much for the town to handle. Stowe held concerts at one point as well.

Killer Harpua at Sugarbush... Was there... Was also at Highgate... Another cluster F....

So here's a point... There's like a half dozen Deadheads on this board.. I'd ventur to say that most people wouldnt mind us coming over for a party...
Certainly not the sleezy dreadlocked wookies that many people associate with the dead...

i joke with one of my friends who's gay and got married in places that let him..

that - sure gay marriage is great... But you also gotta deal with gay divorce...

In for a penny - in for a pound...

Funny Greg Giraldo routine about that . . .

"There's a lot of people complaining about gays getting married, but I think they should HAVE to get married. I think they should have to get married, buy a house, have kids and pay the bills. I'm sick of their carefree lifestyle!!!"

In all serious, though, I'm surprised that this thread has gone on so long . . . I look forward to the day when that article doesn't even cause people to bat an eye.
