Bingo, lol. As a point of interest, maybe some Massachusetts residents can chime in and let us know if the family and institution of marriage have been destroyed since legalizing gay marriage. I can't find anything in the headlines.

i joke with one of my friends who's gay and got married in places that let him..

that - sure gay marriage is great... But you also gotta deal with gay divorce...

In for a penny - in for a pound...

I don't have a problem with gays and I know most people, especially skiers, don't. I was just asking if you feel events like this, where the public sees a large group of gays, have any impact on the way the public as a whole perceives them. I mean they hold gay pride parades. Do you feel that those have any impact on society as a whole?

Sure... It's going to scare people that are intolerant... the bigger and more flamboyant the event the more people will be scared... About what - i have no idea... maybe they're afraid their kids will turn gay...

It entirely depends on how they conduct themselves.

I have seen Hell's Angels chapters attend a function and behave like teddy bears. Then I read reports of other Hell's Angel's chapters ripping places apart and ending up in jail.

Are we getting the stick in the mud crowd or the wild an crazy bunch? No way to know, gay or straight!

i was going to use the biker analogy too...

2 bikers in a bar is a blast... 30 bikers is scary....

My answer-no, it doesn't.

German-Americans held an annual "Stuben (sp?) Day" parade in NYC last week. Do you feel that had an impact on society as a whole?

Um no. But think that you can see the difference between the way that germans and gays are treated in our society.

I think that a good way to look at this is to ask yourself this question.....

If I were planning on making a trip to the Selkirks April 11 to 18 to stay at CMH’s Gothics Lodge and I found out that a gay group would be also staying there at that time, would I book the trip?

What about if it was some other group of the same size?

How any of us answers that might tell us a lot about ourselves.

Sounds like you already know the answer...

Jeez, using the germans is a pretty glaring example of previous intolerance and where that led. Just a sobering reminder.

No insensitivity intended, Moe. I did specify German-Americans, and used that example because it was near the front of my conscience having seen a news account of the parade in the last few days.

I'm german. My wife is jewish. We don't visit the sins of the fathers upon the sons. Besides, I have a pretty thick skin, figuratively and literally, lol. I'm impossible to insult or offend. I already surmised your good naturedness.

The institution of marriage was destroyed long before legalization of gay marriage.......
