I am sure that this has been talked about before, bit I would like to know if any of you use a GPS (watch type) for recording vertical feet. There are hand held one's, but I was wondering if anyone has used one that you wear on your wrist. These types seem to be coming down in price. But, do they work well.

Thank you for any info.

You don't need a GPS for vertical feet. Are you sure you're not talking about an altimeter?

Have to agree, I have the HighGear Altimeter and I have the Suunto S6. They're both good, but I especially like the Suunto since you can connect to your PC and download all the info and then graph you days of skiing or hiking.

Thanks Andyzee, that's pretty cool, I like it! I have a GPS on my helmet cam that you can load into your computer, and it will show on map where you have been etc., but the camera burns through way too many batteries to make it worthwhile. This will be more practical.

By the way, where were you skiing according to that chart?

That was skiing May 6th 2007 at Killington. The last peak you see is a hike up to Killington peak and then we skied down.

P.S. I got my Suunto on steepandcheap.com. They have it fairly often.
