Anytime I ski I try to ski a full (or as full as possible) top-to-bottom run which has limited crossovers and the most consistent pitch througout as possible. Let's use this thread to disclose some of your favorite top-to-bottom runs. The only rule is that the run must consists of trails from the summit to the base (within reason).

Here are some:

Sugarloaf: White Nitro Extension --> White Nitro --> Upper/Lower Bubblecuffer --> Lombard Crossover --> Lower Narrow Gauge
This run starts off at the summit down a steep headwall, then onto a nice windy and narrow run down the Bubblecuffers, and then on to a nice open cruiser to finish it off.

Jiminy Peak: West Way --> Azalea's Path --> West Way --> Upper/Lower Fox --> Lower Slingshot
This run is a gradual run around the west side of the mountain. Azalea's Path is a nice little side trail through the trees before going back on to West Way which has a bit more pitch at this point. Then hit the bumps on Upper/Lower Fox before finishing off on a nice cruiser.

I'll try to think of some more later. Any other good ones?

Here are my favorites:

Killington: 1) Royal Flush-lower part
2) Dreamaker

Hunter Mtn: Westway

Sugarloaf: 1) Tote Road Ext-Upper Tote Road-Lower Tote Road- three trails
that skied all together make a long run of 2600' vertical. In April
of 2004, the trail had every kind of surface condition possible
due to the huge elevation difference top to bottom.

Orford (Quebec) - Maxi by itself or Trois Ruisseaux to Maxi. Consistently steep all the way down.

Loon (NH) - Upper to Lower Walking Boss. The pitch just above the crossover trail is so much fun!

Gore (NY) - Sunway. Really easy and lives up to its name with lots of sunny exposure on nice days.

I don't have a big sample and since I'm not a "real skier" I'll nominate some of the blues at Stowe -- Gondolier, Perry Merrill, Lord, Standard, North Slope.

here are a few of mine:

cannon: taft slalom, upper hard, middle hard, various trails back to lift. over 2000 continuous vertical feet of rediculously great terrain. the winding narrow nature of the hards with natural snow conditions is hard to beat in good conditions.

cannon: taft slalom, taft race course, and any combination of trails on mittersill. slight hike to mittersill, but i still consider this one of the best top to bottom runs around as a full cycle can take any where from 40-60 minutes (which includes time for 2 or 3 lifts back to the summit)! on my best day, i'd only get a half dozen of these top to bottom runs in, and that would indeed be a best day as it's quality not quantity over there.

wildcat: gondi (rip) line. i won't like it was much without the gondi towers, but man that's still a fun top to bottom bump run straight down 2000+ vertical feet. honerable mention at wildcat is lynx top to bottom NON STOP. feel the burn!!!

burke: tough decision here! so much to choose from here! 'the chute' to upper and lower dougs drop is excellent. wilderness to the trees skiers right is awesome. and upper willoughby to the woods skiers left is a dream too.

Whiteface: Parron's Run to Excelsior to Broadway to Boreen. I did it nonstop and by the time I got to Boreen I was glad it was a mellow green run. 3166 vertical feet of cruising heaven.
I'll agree with Rivercoil on the Lynx at Wildcat, lots of twists and turns. With that nice lift at Wildcat you can have a lot of different top to bottom runs.

Burke: (tough choices) East Bowl then maybe Ledges all the way down. Willoughby is another favorite or Wilderness-Powderhorn--Dipper Doodle.

Sugarbush: Has to be the entire length of FIS. For others, Rim Run down through either Elbow or Lower Rim Run down one of the blue cruisers all the way to the bottom. Your legs burn afterwards!

Pat's: Well, Hurricane is great or the other double black on skiers right of the triple at the top. Steep and fun, but short.

I'll go with the two mountains I ski the most for now.
Jay: Most of the best terrain is on the middle 2/3s of the mountain.
My personal favorite linkup of runs for a good time are
Vermonter > Valhalla > Northway > Angels Wiggle > Taxi > Liftline (bumps)
Ullrs > Alligator Ally > Upper Goat > Green Mountain Boys > North Glade > Bushwacker

Burke: Where to begin...there are so many trails that naturally flow together with no bottlenecks 8) 8) 8)
Upper > Lower Willoughby (glade variations as Riverc0il suggested)
Upper Foxes Folly > Upper Warrens Way (ungroomed) > Lower Warrens Way (for screaming fast GS turns)
Carriage Road > Upper Dougs > Lower Dougs (alternate McHargs Cutoff) 8)

MRG
- Catamount Bowl -> Upper Antelope -> Lower Antelope
- Paradise -> Ferret -> Upper Glade -> Lower Glade -> Waterfall

MRG: Basically, anything to anything.

Chute or Fallline to Liftline might be my favorite. Your first pick is a nice one as well.

I'm suprised I haven't seen people mention Stowe yet. I only skied there once in a late-season day where a lot wasn't open, so I can't nominate any of its runs. But since every run there involves skiing top (or close to it) to the bottom, it seems to be a good candidate. Goat, or Lord to Starr or Lookout?

Stowe does not get the play it deserves in AZ land. Here Sugarbush is king for most.

Totally agree. Stowe is one of the oldest ski areas in NE and the place flat out rocks.

But it's pricey and alot of folks don't like that. And there's a big divide between Stowe locals and "flatlanders" as they are called.

Too bad, Stowe is probably my 2nd favorite ski area in NE behind MRG.

Treed lightly here Jimmy G., if you rate a place higher then Sugarbush (unless it's MRG) you are risking more then your modship, you could be looking at a life time ban in the Alpine Zone. ;)
HPD - you almost sound like you think discussion of places like Stowe are somehow discouraged here. I think there just happens to be a lot of Sugarbush lovers here. The same could be said about Burke or Sugarloaf...
