I just picked up a Burton Canyon 162 for $30. I figure It will make a great rock board. It does have a very small hairline crack of the core near the tail of the board. The top sheet is lifting up just a bit. Pics to follow later. The edge near the crack is not bent at all but I am afraid if I just leave it alone and ride it, it will bend. I was thinking about using a marine epoxy to fill the crack but in order to do that I would have to remove a good amount of material with a dremel or similar device to get the epoxy to hold. If I do this I was thinking about using a fiberglass resin over the epoxy to replace where the top sheet was removed. I could also go at it from the bottom but hate doing base welds. Does this plan sound like it will work and / or are there better ways to fix this? Do I sound crazy for wanting to fix something like this?
