I feel dumber having watched that trailer. I can't believe people actually think that is funny. I can't believe the writers and actors thought that they were being funny making/delivering those jokes!

c'mon steve, lighten up a little, not every movie needs to be as heavy as million dollar baby or gran torino! Better Off Dead was a riot, I'm glad to see Cusak back in a cheesy 80s style movie that involves skiing...and what a better nod to the cheesy 80s film genere than to get caught in a time machine that brings them back to the 80s! brilliant...two ski tips up!

Lighten up? Dude, you are responding to a guy that lists Dumb & Dumber as one of the all time best comedies. I know how to laugh and enjoy a comedy. Bad jokes and lame humor and terrible movie making just happen in comedies more often. It is hard to be even somewhat original and funny at the same time. Sometimes, it is hard even to not be original and funny at the same time.

You guys are all so disappointing. As skiers, the only question regarding this movie has nothing to do with its relative comic merit....it should be

...Was 1986 a good snow year?
 Now here's a guy who's focused on what really matters!

At least it's not a Ben Stiller movie.

I agree; I enjoy Cusak and love Better off Dead and cheesy 80's movies in general, but I still don't know about this movie. I kept wondering if it was real, or some sort of joke.

I  Cusack.

'86 was a pretty decent snow year if I remember right. Senior year in high school...spun out in a drift up in Vershire VT...

I'd heard about the filming through the grapevine back in april so I knew it was for real.

Sometimes I've seen trailers that sucked and the movie was funny. I dunno. So much room for utter failure here, but the novelty of Cusak back in a movie referencing skiing and the 80's, plus Rob Cordury from the Daily Show...... I'll tentatively say it'll be saved in my netflix queue for now.
