47/39. There were a few lean years in my teens and early 20's...hockey in my teams and being broke in y early 20's, but there have been plenty of years with more days. Age 9-13 I skied anywhere from 30 to 60 days a season. In college, I was good for 50-60. More recently, I've had 30-40 consistnetly, with the occational 50.

For me it was like riding a bike. Within a few runs I felt like I had never left. But, I had last skied in 1973. My mom still has those skis and boots in her attic. When I picked up skiing again it was on shaped skis. I couldn't believe how easy they turned. I look at those old planks (with screw in edges) at my mom's and truly wonder how did I get down the hill on those.

Similar for me, except I wasn't even born in '73 so the equipment I last used was newer, but still old straight stuff. I wasn't all that good when I stopped in high school, so it wasn't too hard to get back to where I was. Within a couple of runs I felt like I was even better than when I stopped 10 years prior. I couldn't believe how easy those shaped rentals I was on skied. I was a total gaper that day though, wearing jeans that I had no choice but to tuck into the boots since my calfs were too big to slide the pant legs up any further. My legs were killing me by the end of that day! ;)

44, this will be my 4th season. I entered the sport as a telemark skier, and tried alpine skis for the first time at Wachusett last season, and just bought a fixed heel setup to add to the quiver for this season to mess around with.

You may have posted this before, but where in Dutchess do you live? I'm in Hopewell Junction.

We should meet somewhere and slide around for a day

as soon as there is something to slide on, I'm game!! I spend most of my time up in VT but hit the catskills when there are people down here that like to ride.

33, started when I was 10. As far as I am concerned it was way too late.

Having my first child next month and hope to have him/her up at 3 at the latest.
