I'll guess it's just a matter of available opportunities. I know I have limited ski time, and I treasure every time I go. Some are better than others, but if I wait for 'epic conditions', the next thing I know I could be looking at April in the calendar and all the non-epic days are gone.
After the start of this season, I am just grateful to have a 30" man made base anywhere in the NE.

I'm with you. I find ways to enjoy the day regardless. My life outside of skiing doesn't allow me to just drop things and ski powder days all that frequently. If I luck out and hit one, great. But I certainly don't wait for them.

Same here. I don't get easily bored while I'm out skiing. I'm not as good as some of the guys here either, so I still find challenge in terrain that they may consider boring..
