So you're a wise guy, aye?

It is weird it is slow now. With people skiing and those who post mainly in the winter showing up, you'd think there would be more to talk about.

Or, maybe folks blew off work today to go skiing.

Man, that'd be like Microsoft buys AOL or something. Oh, wait, that's not so far-fetched. Okay, Walmart buys Kmart, or HP buys Dell.

It has been a touch slow lately. I guess we can argue over storm tracks only so much...

I've stopped trying to figure out what causes activity here to rise and fall. As soon as I think I get a handle on it, something unexpected happens. Next week will likely be very different...

ya know, i don't know what you guys are talking about lack of activity. everyday i get home from work, and sure enough there are usually at least 30-40 thread updates since the morning. seems pretty steedy to me. are you guys just hitting the refresh button during the afternoon or something? GET BACK TO WORK!!!

HP buying Dell is not so far fetched at all. After all Digital Equipment was bought by Compaq which in turn was bought by HP. Maybe it will be Dell buying HP and I will end up with Dell stock instead of HP stock.

As a Intrawest stockholder I almost had a heart attack when I saw that thread listing.

As far as the money involved it would be chump change compared to the Time Warner/Aol deal or any of the other ones mentioned.

If ASC goes bankrupt, it is not all that far fetched, someone will buy those resorts.

ASC bought Sugarbush for 12 million then sunk another 25 million on lifts and snowmaking then sold to Win/Adam et al of Summit Ventures for 8 million. Not a bad deal!

Dude! Imagine my pass working at Tremblant and Stratton. But I knew Intrawest could never bite off something as debt laden as ASC.

Don't know the numbers in terms of debt, but I am sure it would be worthwhile for Intrawest to get their hands on ASC's holdings. If not an outright buyout of ASC, then in a bankruptcy auction.
