I've stopped trying to figure out what causes activity here to rise and fall. As soon as I think I get a handle on it, something unexpected happens. Next week will likely be very different...JimG. said:

As a Intrawest stockholder I almost had a heart attack when I saw that thread listing.
As far as the money involved it would be chump change compared to the Time Warner/Aol deal or any of the other ones mentioned.
If ASC goes bankrupt, it is not all that far fetched, someone will buy those resorts.
ASC bought Sugarbush for 12 million then sunk another 25 million on lifts and snowmaking then sold to Win/Adam et al of Summit Ventures for 8 million. Not a bad deal!

Dude! Imagine my pass working at Tremblant and Stratton. But I knew Intrawest could never bite off something as debt laden as ASC.
