Is the Notch still open between Stowe and Smuggs?

Just thought with the lack of abundant snowfall there was a chance of it still being open. Would be neat to take the shortcut between the two in winter...

It was closed when I went up there and skied with Riv and Austin a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. Don't think they'd re-open it, but I'm not the one to ask.

Regardless of weather, VTrans closes it after Columbus Day.

was wondering the same thing...headed up to Smuggs end of Jan, stinks having to drive right thru Stowe then continue on for another 45 min to Smuggs

Like trailboss said....VTrans closes it in the fall.
