We need to get you into a glider. 8)

You get vertical, carve turns, pull Gs, and feel the air rush past.

I would probably enjoy it...went skydiving a few times and loved that. Did the bungee jumping thing too. Gliders, why not.

But there's plenty to do in summer I like doing such as fishing, camping, hiking, etc.
Golf not so much, I'm not old enough yet.

Problem is I hardly have time to do anything other than kid's soccer and yard or house work. In addition to skiing in winter, there's none of that other stuff to tie up my time.

And thus, summer sucks!!

But Chile is a nice old man, so it's nice to have him around.
Agreed. And at 84 years old, he's still a helluva skier...

You guys are too much......:) My birth certificate says 9/26/1959. Yup - Ike was still in the White House, Ted Williams was still playing left field, and gas was 23 cents a gallon, I'm told. At least I know that Charlie is older than me.........;)

I'm older than you in years...it's the golf that makes you old though.

Hee Hee! You're OK Chile.

Regarding the golf outing, are all the 80-somethings invited?

Speaking of Golf Outing....

The MRV Chamber hosts a tournemant every year (1:30pm June 25 at Sugarbush Golf Club). Paradise Deli/The Common Man do the food on course, Long Trail does the beverage...Sugabush does the BBQ at the awards reception. How about a Sunday afternoon outing for AZ? AZ would qualify for the Media Trophy Challenge, won by SKI Magazine last year.....cheap and durned fun. PM if you want me to email you information or ask questions here.

Noski - that would be big fun, but we'd need to ID some actual golfers on this here site. Not many around by last count. Keep us in the loop anyway.....I'm sure the Sugarbush GC is nice.

Surprising that with so many NE ski areas having very serious summer golf programs ('Bush, Mt. Snow, Sugarloaf, etc) that golf gets such a cold reception here.....

Bill, this is a skiing site...we like cold.

I've seen some golf courses in Iceland or Scandinavia or somewhere like that where the game is played on snow and ice. Now after a nice day on the slopes, I might be into 9 holes on an ice covered golf course.

It would replace my after skiing nap.

OK, that made me laugh......do you think I'm funny? Do I amuse you?? Remember what happened in Good Fellas......;)

There are lots of snow golf tournaments and some on frozen lakes. I would imagine the ball travels pretty well on ice and putting must be a bitch.....

Just giving you a hard time Chile...I really have nothing against golf, I've just never had the time to try to master it.

It's summer I can't stand.

You whiners are all in luck. The REALLY BIG rotating trophy goes to the worst team. I missed getting that trophy by one stroke. This trophy is 4 feet wide and 2 feet tall and has an antique wooden club mounted on it and a nameplate of the losers. It is much coveted. If you win it 2 years in a row you get free lessons from the golf pro. It's all about the fun- Hackers are celebrated- but great golfers are rewarded with pro shop vouchers and prizes.

Ya I get a bit grouchy for say 5 months.
I do like fall. Great time to hike, bugs are not as bad and foliage is awesome.

I agree! Last night my hubby and I was outside doing some yard work, I put on some bug dope on my uncovered parts, had long pants on, and what happens.....I get this unbeliveable bit right on my eyelid! I swelled up like crazy, didn't really itch, but it looked weird.....Yes, bugs do suck! That's what I mostly hate about summer! When it's too hot to ride my bike, that's when it time to just chill at the beach or the lake.
