Looked into treating wife to a few nights away and stay in the new Tram Haus, went online today and nearly fell over at the price. 1 bedroom unit $1344 for two nights MIDWEEK. I could not believe this price. They will be hard pressed to see that kind of dollar spen there. I hope that this is not a sign of whats to come.

WOW! That is stunning! I actually stayed at a pretty nice condo slopeside there once but I didn't think of Jay's clientele as that ritzy. That price would get you a 1 bedroom for a week at some pretty nice resorts.

The following table shows the daily rates for your reservation.
The total price is 1344.14.

All rates in US$ (taxes not included)

March 9, 2010 672.07
March 10, 2010 672.07

I hope it is a typo.

Eh, whatever. Their season pass price stayed the same and is one of the lowest priced season passes north of Magic in VT for a resort and their ticket prices are still reasonable and they still have a ton of deals. If that hotel sits empty midweek, you can bet your bottom dollar that those unit prices will be going for half that price in a 242 newsletter.

Even if not, whatever. Its like the new lodges at Spruce Peak and Lincoln Peak. That stuff was not built for us common people. It was built for the owners and for the metro folks that have that type of money to burn and will gladly do so for an experience that is to their standards. The bar and services are open to the public so I could care less what the room rates are. Perhaps with the increase in on mountain lodging, if demand stays generally the same and supply is increased, local lodging may have to keep prices the same or be more competitive.

Will hopefully hit up during christmas/new years week. I'll be in montreal but will be traveling to ski every day. Conditions will highly influence when I end up.

jay season pass was cheaper than a 10 pack at Burke - go figure

Riv - check your pm's

Not sure where you are getting your numbers, a burke adult pass right now is $599 Jay is $699 the burke 10 block is cheaper than the pass...

Jay pass was $599 before the early season date a few weeks ago. It is outrageous that Burke would charge as much as Jay for a season pass. Though I will admit, the Jay pass is pretty cheap for a resort with its infrastructure.

Just hiked up for some turns yesterday. Hayes and Upper Jet have been blown on heavily. Needs more for sure and the they have not started on the lower ends of these trails yet after the cross over. Pretty typical from what I have seen in the past. I am sure snow making will be extended down with colder temps.

burski - knowing when to buy will get you a jay pass for under 350, my numbers are fine, was extensively a burke ski pass holder, but needing to be closer to home and being able to grab quick lift and tram access for a coup;e hours of skiing meant Jay is the place - burke still has good sunday ticket deals but the price is getting steeeep

55 out right now - watching the Jet melt into the haze

No season pass, but just picked up two discounted tickets from the local ski club, committing my buddy and I to a Jay weekend at least once this season. Stoked to check it out.

Sounds like a bad number

cc-midweek rates in Tram Haus lodge (for a studio with kitchen) are $179 pp/pn/do based on a 2 night stay. That includes lodging, skiing, breakfast and dinner, both days, for each person. Same deal only goes up $20 for the weekend. For $50 you can get a one-bedroom. Sounds like something weird is happening online. Maybe call if you're still interested (800) 451-4449. I'll talk to the Cen Res folks and see if they can figure out what's up. Thanks for bringing this up. steve

Bump! It looks like I may be at Jay Friday Feb 5 & Sat Feb 6. Will Riv (or anyone else) be around one of those days to ski a few runs together? I've never been to Jay in mid-season so I'd like to check out as many of the glades & other interesting terrain as I can. Any takers?

Whoa, this thread is a blast from the past. Interestingly enough, I have yet to ski Jay since the lifts started turning this year despite starting this very thread. Hoping to change that soon but Jay just has not had the usual jackpots that they usually get this season.

As far as February 6th, I won't know my status for that date until February 5th (at the earliest) so best to PM me or bump this thread before you leave or when you are at the mountain on Friday. Would be down for skiing with you and showing you around but I have no idea what I will be doing that day until it comes.
