FYI - From Jay's site

We’ve got some big plans on the horizon and we’re looking for you, be you a long time Season Passholder or a recent day ticket purchaser to tell us what you want to see as we ready ourselves for construction of our Base Lodge extension in May. We’ll be hosting a closed forum of a cross section of 20 Jay Peakers, a few Jay Peak Managers and a moderator, to help get inside what you feel we need, what you think we can live without and what simply has to be. Those chosen to participate will receive a free 2008+09 Season Pass.

The meeting will take place Monday the 21st from 11AM to 4PM in the Alpine Room in the Hotel Jay (lunch will be served). If you’re available and would like to participate pls. email Steve Wright with some thoughts on why you should be a panelist and what, in broad strokes, you think you can bring to the table.

Yeah, but who has time to do it on a Monday. It would be better to do it online or a Saturday afternoon. Poor planning.

That Monday is MLK day. A lot of people have the three day weekend.

To Steve

Steve,

Westfield homeowner, JP passholder since 2000. Former Burke, Haystack, Kirkwood, Hidden Valley (PA) & 7 Springs passholder. Bike, board & ski shop owner/mgr since ’90. LSC (ski area mgmt program) ’77-’78. Been in the business since ’76.

Not that I’d like to see a ton of JP development:

A few “wind-hold” resistant, income-producing items that may be cost effective; tubing, indoor putt-putt, gameroom(s), spas/tubs. Indoor pool. Maybe an indoor/outdoor skate park. Heavier emphasis on XC & snowshoes.

Use the above to attract more "non-core" clientelle.

“It’s all about the snow” was a better niche. More destination marketing in the mid-Atlantic region. And, not that I know anything about it: better Montreal/CAN marketing.

Please mail my pass to the shop.

Thanks, Fish
