If there was one thing that impressed me the most in the Skiing Gear Guide it's how well the reborn Kastle's rated. Their front side ski scored best in class and the two other skis did pretty well to. If it weren't for the price, I'd be interested in checking out a pair. Not that graphics matter too much, but I really dig the minimalist approach they've taken.

Will anyone being taking a look at Kastle for possible future purchases?

I've skied on the MX98, 88, and RX78...they ski well...burly, woodcore, vertical sidewalls, two sheets of metal...every model is built like a GS race ski and well made. If you like to haul ass and make gs turns everywhere they're great...if you're looking to get your bump on or spend time in the woods there are more forgiving & versatile skis out there.

WAY out of my price range, so really not even considering them. Though should an unknown relative with lots of moolah have an untimely death, I might be interested in looking at the RX78 for a front side ripper.

Stopped by the local ski shop to get my skis tuned last week and they were no longer selling them. The owner of the store loved them, but he said without having any demos in the Northeast, he was moving any product. I can see his point. I know I'd certainly want to try before I buy on $1500 boards. It's unlikely I'd ever spend that kind of cabbage on skis either way, but I'm sure most people would want to demo before buying in that price range.
