It's been skied...not by me.
Someone had to do it............sweet.It's been skied...not by me.
Lots of inversion going on around the Northeast as well this morning to thwart possible snowmaking operations. Sure it'a all about the micro climate of an area, but some observations I've seen this morning via weather underground stations and others, are a summit temp on Mount Washington of 46 degrees, Mount Snow had a base temp of 37.4 and a summit temp of 49.9 a few minutes ago, Stratton was 34 at the base and 49.5 at the summit, and Killington was 30.9 at the base and 47.3 at the summit.
Inversions going on in a big way this AM, and even those colder valley temps are being accompanied by high levels of humidity - standard fall snowmaking challenges weather wise :smash:
they were probably testing to see if the could blow on SS and North Ridge without issue. I know they made changes to that effect.
Next weekend is looking less favorable. Hopefully the 22nd! Really hoping SR and BW shoot for early as well. You never hear much out of BW, I know SR still has some pipe work to do in their expanded Aurora snowmaking infrastructure.
