It has become pretty obvious that K is no longer the early and late season giant that it was during the 90's. I wonder if any other area could take its place, or if any other area wants to take its place. It is to bad that there are no longer any places to get lift service in June or October...

From a financial standpoint, I think it would be hard to justify. For Killington it was great PR, but with ASC's financial woes, I guess it just doesn't pay anymore.

one of the local guys who posts on killingtonzone says that they catted a bump run on the lower headwall. So it's not as bad as we thought.

the mogul course is for a conteast this WE.
superstar took another big hit today with the blazing sun and downright hot temps.
skiers right, the rockier side, is extremely thin and translucent in color, meaning there is a few inches of snow and icepack above it. Also, the middle leading to the lower part is the same way. There is another very thin part adjacent to the mogul course in the middle of lower superstar. i'm thinking may 1.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's the truth.
should i sugarcoat it?

don't see how superstar is going to get bumped up groomed flat as a pancake like that with no more snow coming. kiss of death! so much for the late season kmart trip... no bumps, no riverc0il! i'd rather be hiking for turns than skiing super groomed.

I shouldve known better. Killington wouldnt seed a run for the common man.

Maybe i should head to hunter or sugarbush saturday. i agree with rivercoil. No bumps and it isnt worth it. although, in warm temps, bumps will form awfully quick regardless of whether there is any new snow or not.
