In the upper 30s in south central MA (and still warm enough for shorts and a T-Shirt... I'm a nut). I'd imagine it's cracking the freezing mark in Killington by now if it's not already below.

It appears that they could start luilding a base for the North Ridge. Temps will only be in the mid-30s for highs in the next 3 days and down to the 20s for lows. K-1 base will be below freezing at night, but up near 40 in the day.

You need to ease off on the wishcasting. It's going to rain up to about 4K this weekend. Maybe something better towards Monday, but your hopes for any sort of "base" by the time you arrive are, and always have been, futile.

They are not going to make snow tonight..killington just received 6 compressors yeasterday back from cleaning and they will not be online for a cpl of days. Killington is going to wait to see what hurricane wilma is going to do before they blow any snow..if it is going to bring r*in we arent going to blow snow until after it passes..Bummer i know...but what can you do

What can you do? Fire off a couple rounds at the hurricane to make you feel better?

I'll kill the damn hurricane...

Newsflash: They didn't blow last night. I like your persistence though. Anyway, looks like Wilma moisture may be in the area Monday. Hopefully, they can get started the middle of next week. It's coming...

Here is the explanation given by BigChief on www.killingtonzone.com:

BigChief is a new member of the K-zone and it sounds like he works at the mountain so I am looking forward to his posts in the future since the information he's posted in the past seems to be accurate. I am sad that they did not blow out the mice but can understand them not wanting to waste money if it is all going to be washed away.
