I know some folks are still going, while most of us are done. Anyway, we should be under the 7 month mark already!

I like the positive spin on this thread...was just sitting here listening to the rain and thinking how sad I am that ski season is over.... However, a new one is just around the corner.

It gets closer every day. I think it is going to be an exciting year with lots of changes in the ski industry. It should be interesting! We are racing again next year aren't we?

Think I may go under the knife after my century ride in June (Its a charity ride..dontations are nice!). Hopefully I will be up and skiing. Last time I had this surgery I was out for 6 months (bankart repair on the shoulder). We will see what the doc lets me do.

either way I am lookin around for some new skis. It is about time I get some new stuff, I have been the goodwill of ski bums for to long.

Because the month of April was so winterlike and epic in all respects, the season seemed to come to a crashing halt at the end of the day yesterday. Usually the snow slowly degrades and disappears and you just get used to it as time passes. This season, winter/spring one weekend and melting, wet slush the next. Winter, a few days of spring, and a week later it's over.

I don't think I've accepted the end yet. Maybe it isn't over?

Totally agree. I thought season was over after Moguls weekend at Killington. Then we got all those bonus days. Those wonderful April powder days! And just as quickly it was all gone.

Can't complain though. I got 7 awesome days of April Skiing in this year.

Time to default to blue backgrounds, then :)

Yup- I had blue as the default, but I think one of the upgrades may have reset them. Now, if only I could keep the skiing forums above the hiking ones (not that there's anything wrong with hiking, I just prefer to work with gravity)...

Much better looking now with the default set back to blue! And to top it off, its now May, which means that we're one minth closer to the '07-'08 season (of course I'm still using March as the date for 1/2 the things I put a date on each day ;) )

i take no comfort in the thought that after this weekend it'll be 6-6.5 months before the lifts turn again. off-season is now a month or two longer than it used to be. it is what it is but it doesn't mean i have to like it.

I got 8 in April...3 of them epic powder days up at Wildcat.

There were a few really nice spring days at Hunter in there too.

I will remember April 2007 fondly.
