What year is that from...and I nuts, or do I remember the G chair...or am I thinking of someplace else.

G chair was the best. When the rest of the mountain was crowded in the afternoon, I used to run laps on Racer's off of G until I couldn't stand up anymore.

The G Chair ROCKED!!!!

If it was crowded - you could always ride the perpetually empty G chair and just ride Racers Edge over and over again...

I think the G chair is on Hunter one now..

So I'm not nuts...that was a great (and always empty) chair...I hate the quad so much I just ride the F chair..

Gotta get the kids over to the West this year...

The quad is the most popular chair..

JimG and I usually just tuck ourselves away over on the westside... Or ride the F chair in the sun...

That’s all I can stands, I can’t stands no more.

I know you’re probably doing this to aggravate me (which I admire) but the Narrows was a totally different trail. It was short, about a ski and a half wide, not steep, started skiers right of old Hellgate, snaked around a little and came back out at the end of Hellgate.

Minya Konka is a completely different trail. Much longer, wider and straighter. Just do this JimmyG,. ax some old-timer who skied there in the early 70’s and see what he says. I skied it when I was a kid and I remember when they put Minya Konka and it’s twin East Side Drive in.

Yup - I checked the book.. Renamed recoursed and widened.. I'm not saying it didn't used to hook up with the Hellgate... But it was renamed to Minya Konka..

I'll ask Orville next time I see him... :)

Well it was recoursed a whole lot. Kinda like Michael Jackson recoursed his face.

I did ask an oldtimer, someone like me who has skied at Hunter since the mid-70's. I don't really remember the Narrows, but he knew it's now called Minya.

I think you're just mad because you owe dmc and me a beer    ! I say we make it a moving drink and have a beer while skiing Minya!

I'd be happy to buy the beer, but I'm tellin you it's a very different trail then what the Narrows was. They must have incorporated some of what use to be the Narrows into Minya.

No one's debating that...
Back in the day it was legal to blast the crap out of mountains... The Slutsky brothers did what they do best... Blast the rock out of the way - just like they build roads....

Lots of trails got widened that year..
