From the web site as of 3:00 PM Monday:

The snow gods have answered our prayers! Mad River Glen will open for the season on Thursday at 9 AM. Our plan is to run the newly restored Single Chair and the Sunnyside Double with the vast majority of our terrain wide open. The snow began falling early this morning and we have already received 10-12" of moderately dense, base building snow. The snow continues to fall in copious amounts and is expected to continue well into the evening. Up to this point the winds have been relatively moderate although we expect them to pick up this evening. More snow is in the forecast over the next few day too and it looks like this season will begin where last year left off.

It is if you are bad at them. How else can I feel better about myself?

The news about MRG is nice. I am ashamed to say I have never been there. Must visit this year.

Use that as inspiration to learn to ski them. Eventually you will see the light.

Same here... bump skiing is actually pretty fun, I am just not very good at it so I hate a bit. My goal this year is to get decent at skiing bumps.

MRG actually is a good place to practice skiing bumps as the moguls are rounder because of the great skiers there and softer because the bumps are natural snow. I enjoy skiing MRG and dislike the lift line for the single on weekends. MRG offers lots of great skiing at a reasonable price.
