Killington was great till 11:15 am ish. Even canyon area had some traffic, though the line at the canyon quad was basically non existent.

Did the run off superstar, biter sweet i think, that is a blue you can get to off the other Gondi, and i've never seen so many ppl on a trail before. This was right before i went to eat at 11:45.

Ramshead was the biggest disaster ever this afternoon. i have a new motto, curious if i'm completely out of line, basically if you're in the singles line and part of a group and i can get in front of you i will cut you.

if you say something to me, good chance i speak my mind. this was the 2nd weekend in a row where it was quicker for me to not be in the singles line while by myself. last weekend i actually was going non singles on that lift, this weekend i didn't but groups entering after i did were getting up before me That is absolute bs, considering more than half the singles line is groups splitting up to save some time. K decided it'd be wise to have no one directing the single riders either, i didn't realize it was so hard to count to 4.

it is absurd and very aggravating to me. mountains should adopt single riders only lanes with penalty of tickets being slashed if you go into it.

Must be a kmart thing. I don't see it at other areas. This and other behavior keeps me away and I'm happy.

As long as they ride as singles, what's the problem?

Well, I see that the singles line at Skyeship base is practically no line ever since people practically go into whatever gondola they please. And then other people wonder why the line is moving pitifully slow for the gondola at the midstation. And so that's why its just overall smarter to take the Needle's Eye quad if the mountain is busy and hopefully, they run it.

I do see some doubles in the single line at the gondola. I agree they can arrange the line better than just signles and then group but they only have so much space.

OMG. I just got back from Middlebury (and other areas on the safari.) If you want your own private glades, with mega untracked pow, trails with butter PP and no scratch all to yourself and you are a high level intermediate or better, this is your place. It was heaven. According to my VIP guide, never a lift line. And for Sunday of MLK weekend, I can attest. I know, it's kinda hard to get to, but well worth the trip. Consider it for president's day. Can't beat the price either. What a value. It is god-awful-pretty too. It definitely skis bigger than it looks. Kinda like a Burke in terms of size. I'll do my safari TR and pics on Monday.
p.s., tease: Cochrans was pretty inspirational.
p.p.s, the glades are ready at JP and ski well, but you may still want to bring your junk skis.

5 min lines at most all day Saturday at Bolton Valley.
1st time there in 15 yrs....flatter than I recall....top third is respectable but place mellows out quickly.
The woods (Lost Boyz, Devils Playground in particular) are legit and a lot of fun.
Place is buried. Was with a group of 10 of us...all very different ability levels...RSNE vouchers and 2 for 1's used for the entire group...price was right.

No matter, we singled it from the Tram base. All the other lifts were nearly ski on.

Noobs ski the main lifts... Weather it be the JP Tram, KMart Gondis, Hunter 6pack, etc... And they will go on message boards and bitch about the lines..

We all know the real deal and how to avoid such issues... :)

And the moral of the story is don't take any report verbatim. Not mine, not yours, not a noobie. Take them all in,stir, salt and pepper to taste and come out with something that meets your palate.

right...

I actually like it when I hear people complain - it can mean that the place is too scary for them to venture off the main trails.. I need to get to Cannon because people complain about it...

Sundown was crowded today, but my man Claude the Traffic Control Engineer on lift 1 kept things flowing real good..Probably a 5-7 minute wait

Skied Gore Sunday. Longest line of the day was less than 5 minutes for the gondola. most other lifts were ski on. 4" fell Saturday and conditions were very nice packed powder with some loose snow and a few shallow freshies. No glades open. My son ducked the rope an skied Twister Glade, said he didn't scrape but that coverage was really too thin in there.
