More Solar Flares

Heard on the news this morning there will be more solar flares by Thanksgiving. That is not good for cold weather.

many forecasters believe they were the culprit of the non-winter of 2001-2002. I think the effects are long lasting and just one flare can upset the whole winter. But, we shall see, I am not an epert on this. Here are some links

Are they susposed to effect everywhere? Or just the east coast? How high will the temperatures change?
