Beautiful shots. I'm amazed that we haven't seen any reports of folks sampling what's up top yet. I guess heading to Stowe for more of a sure thing is a safer bet...
indeed, the coverage doesn't look half as full as mansfield and jay have been this week. looks good, but the mrg reports i have read are not even close to what happened at mansfield. i am still completely blown away by coverage at mansfield. looks like i am going to bail on tomorrow as even higher peaks will see mostly rain and the high winds coupled with cold and rain looks less than comfortable.... but that said, look for mansfield and jay to weather the storm okay whereas i would not expect much left down in the mrv. would love to be proved wrong, but you just can't wash out about twenty inches of well consolidated and packed snow with a rain storm.Beautiful shots. I'm amazed that we haven't seen any reports of folks sampling what's up top yet. I guess heading to Stowe for more of a sure thing is a safer bet...
If you want hard (or soft) evidence, scope the Gallery. Stormy is Stowe, sunny at the Bush. Or you can check my TR at www.couloirmag.com.

Umm, I've been to both Mansfield and Sugarbush this week and there was not a huge difference. Maybe a few inches. Not that it mattered, it was base snow with a little pow on top, I never sunk more than eight inches in.
Keep the myths going though. I love reading them. If you want hard (or soft) evidence, scope the Gallery. Stormy is Stowe, sunny at the Bush. Or you can check my TR at www.couloirmag.com.
