I usually go with a snug synthetic fabric boxer/breif (though more to the boxer side). Anything else bunches up under the long johns, and that's just not comfy. PErry Ellis actually makes a really good short. I can't recall the name, but I think it has "Technical" in it, or something.

Patagonia med weight capalene. 40 or 40 below. I do put on a wool sweater or fleece vest if it's below 0.

I love the Smart Wool long underwear. But for really cold days, nothing beats Patagonia Expedition Weight Capilene. If it's really, really cold (below zero), I'll layer the Smart Wool and the Patagonia. Works great.

Does anyone besides me find their underwear twists around to the left when they ski if it is something loose? I think it's because I always slide to one direction on the chair.

But if I'm not going commando, it's usually bike shorts. Can't have the jewels getting all bruised down there smashing around into things.

Does anyone get batwings when they spring ski?

Rarely. But when I do, it's typically something lace or leather, french cut bikini brief when I'm in the mood.

How do you clean leather? I figure spandex briefs would be more convenient.

"Slim and the twins" have always been partial to my circa 1986 Helly Hanson Polypro union suits. (My wife likes them because knows no woman can inhale within 20' downwind of me and survive.) Lately, I've taken to hanging "Ernest and Julio" in Mountain Equipment Coop's fine synthetic union suits.

Pipe down, pierogi boy, we're have a serious discussion here.

You know, that's pretty tough talk for someone with the build and personal presence of Pee Wee Herman.
