Despite the fact that I was up in Franconia Notch the morning that the Old Man fell, I am totally blameless. Any relation between my email address (maxpower) and Homer Simpson is purely coincidental. :D

Without question! Homer reminds me so much of my Dad. Mr. Burns and Moe are some great characters as well.

The Simpsons started while I was in college, which means that I effectively just don't remember any of my adult life being without them. I've seen every episode more than once and will quote them incessantly while hiking.

On a similar Groening note, if I posthole or trip, you'll know it from the ear-splitting "Bite my shiny metal a**!".

On the trail with my family, the most quick laugh references are either a Simpsons or a Monty Python quip...and when passing by others, it is instinctivly picked up. What a wonderful world.

Hey, isn't that the Mayor's car in front of the motel?
Yeah, he's probably polling the electorate.

South Park is the only other show that gets funnier through the years. What a run the Simpsons has had.

Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it. Bart, quit it.
