I think it's pretty damn funny... Very telling of the times... I came in a little after but faced all the same crap...

Say what you will about snowboarding... But it's tough to deny it's positive impact on skiing and ski resorts...

Believe me when Johhny Mosly pull a mute grab in the olympics - I got goose bumps... Because I felt that the circle was finally closed and boarding and skiing were about the same thing... And not two diffent things sharing the same space...

Seriously... I just tried it and it was fun and easy... Also at the time I was heavily into mogul skiing and my back and knees were hurting. But I never hurt snowboarding and still don't...

I think after my first real powder experience I switch totally.... But I stilled skied a couple times a year just to get the speed feeling and to jam some bumplines... I've been skiing more and more now that shape skis and twintips are out there..

To me snowboarding represented freedom that I felt was lacking in skiing at the time... Everyone that I skied with was getting too competetive with technique and equipment...
It felt great to remove myself from that whole vibe and just ride the mountain...

Now it's time to get better at telemarking and try a whole new thing...

AND IT'S NOT because I sucked skiing(as some people like to insinuate)... I think I was pretty good...
I still kick ass on skis... :wink:
