Whiteface - November 4th/5th??
Hunter - November 4th/5th??

Negative on both of these. Bretton Woods on Nov. 4/5? Maybe. Killington on Nov. 4/5? A big maybe. Hunter or Whiteface? NFW.

I hope you're wrong. Not just because I want to ski Killington on the 10th, but because it would be great that even when you do a complete 180, you're still wrong...

last year was different, with 30 inches of snow, how could they not open?

this year, it just doesnt make sense

i would rather not rush it after last year and skiing on the 31st and then suffering through a long warm thaw

The list I put together is just what people have posted in this thread. Since Killington hasn't posted an official date yet I just went with what people came up with in the thread. The only additional values that I came up with was Bolton Valley, Ragged Mountain, Ascutney Mountain and Sugarloaf. I'll re-post the list within the next day or so with any additional information/changes.

EDIT: I went through and made some changes to the list to make some of the "out there" listings a little more realistic.

Hmmm....nothing makes me laugh more than people from Massachusetts, New York, and Atlanta, Georgia telling me what the weather is going to do up here. Things are different folks. And no, the Weather Channel is not always right. If you want to know what is going on...ask someone who lives up here. That works better.....

And I am still perplexed as to how Joshua has changed his tune in a year....last year (and earlier this fall) you were saying the usual "It's going to snow like hell" song and now you are saying it's not and that "they are not going to open." :-? Why is that? Because you can't go skiing?

Okemo's website says their projected opening is Nov. 18. That's later than they opened last year even if you ignore the effect of last year's early natural snow in October. Maybe they decided to not get into the "who's going to open first" sweepstakes this year. Please add that entry to the summary list of opening dates.

It could just be a matter of "under-promise, over-deliver". I would really be surprised if they don't open before then.

I think you just might be surprised about Hunter Greg.

Do you have information that would indicate otherwise? That would be awesome if they opened early.

Word is snowguns will be dragged out early next week and they will attempt to make snow weather permiting...

It was in the teens last night.. bring it on........

I think I can speak to this because I live here... ;)
