Well, the forecast is actually pretty decent, especially after Thursday. We might see some snowmaking at night this week and hopefully round-the-clock starting Friday. Based on how the following week is, I think an opening that week is possible. I still think the latest estimate I have from the mountain for a Nov. 8-11 opening is still reasonable. Not sure about any percentages, other than I'm 100% sure that I hope they're open on or before the 10th...

Question is, if Kmart does open on Nov 11, will it be worth it. It will most likely be a complete parking lot. I think I will wait a week or two for people to get their ski demons out before making the trek from NJ.

Looks like Killington will be open this Sunday 10/29.

I usually ski in a halloween costume each year..

I was at K last year for opening day, well the first opening day, oct 30 i think, and it wasnt bad at all as in crowds. I think that was partly due to the fact that they didnt announce they were going to open till late the night before.

I have it from a pretty good source that SR will be starting snowmaking on thursday the 2nd.

The cannon website is now saying that they're going to open on the 24th of November.

Bretton Woods seems to be a stretch for the weekend. Other than the obvious it came from a reliable source.
