Cisco Certified Networking Associate.

It's a certification offered by one particular network equipment company. However, because it is of a general networking nature, having the CCNA is a way of stating that I understand the basics of networking as well as troubleshooting and design. It's also the most-used network equipment manufacturer right now, so, in general, it's a resume boost. Not to mention required by my employer. Getting it gave me a $$$ boost too. Took a year of classes and a few years of experience.

Try to do better next time. What about the 100 points you missed? Can't you do better than that?

Sorry, parental flashback- congrats, man- nice job.

As a former MCP, I know what these types of exams are like. They truly require a lot of time and dedication to fully understand the subject matter. Congrats!

I think perfect scores on any Cisco test are myth.

I know CCIEs who can't get perfect scores on NA, DA etc...

Boss is already talking CCNP. I don't think my CCNA certificate will have time to cool off from the printer and I'll be in more classes.

I took the combined. I saw no sense in taking two tests for the same certification. Besides, if you know the ICND section, by default you know the INTRO stuff.

I took a Fortran class in college (yes, it was that long ago). For teh final, we ahd to come in with no notes/books/anything, and write a program that basically combined two lists. I had a syntax error in there somewhere that I just couldn't find, adn without a guide, you forget if it's supposed to be a period or a comma, or whatever. 2 hours later, I know full well teh programs right, except for teh error that kills it. So, I wrote another program inside it that went out and grabbed the "correct", pre-constructed list. It was well hidden, and pretty sneaky. I got a 100 on the final. Either the proff didn't look, or figured it was clever. Either way...

That is my one and only programming story.
