Does anyone use Picassa Web Albums but not the Picassa software? Is there a way to upload more than five pics at a time without using their software? Is there a way to upload vids without using their software?

I use the software to help me keep my albums & pics organized. I didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me.

No, spurred more out of frustration. I resisted installing it because of other peoples experiences, installed it last night for about ten seconds before uninstalling it. I was more curious if there was any third party software out there.

Maybe I just get annoyed too easily.

Found a simple answer, :dunce: I was using Firefox, if I use IE I can upload as many pics as I want up to the folders limit. I did find it kinda funny that Picasa allows Chrome users to only upload five pics at a time too.

I like Google's new online photo editing tool Picnik.

I just noticed that when I clicked on the edit button. Pretty cool that you can edit the pics that are already uploaded.

So I uploaded 129 pics to a folder today with IE, worked well but not totally successful. I initially tried to upload all 129 pics in one shot but after 11 were up IE crashed. Pretty frustrating after spending time sorting out the pics I wanted to upload. So I tried it a second time and IE crashed right off of the bat, no pics upoaded, really frustrating now. I'm guessing it's because I'm using all of my memory so I tried 12 pics at a time and that worked well. 12 pics with IE also uploaded quicker than 5 pics with Firefox, I have no idea why that is. But the important thing for me is it's tolerable to upload pics now so everyone can expect me to bore the hell out of you with lots of skiing pics this winter! :snow:

I gotta suggest trying Picasa again. More so a a tool for uploading then anything else. Just set it to auto-scan where you save your pics, and tell it to sync that folder to web.

That's a slick feature. No more manual uploading?

Glenn, exactly. You can choose just to auto-sync a folder, group of pictures or a single picture.

If you're really looking for "ease of upload" spring for an Eye-Fi Card and let their software do all the "hard work" for you. I have the 4GB one I have to admit, it works effortlessly. It's a battery killer however and doesn't work as well with some hotel wifi systems.

That's cool Root. We have a slow interweb connection, so I usually let uploads chug away over night. Being able to "set it and forget it" would be ideal.
