That Jay thread got me thinking, do you like poutine? It's good, but it's really filling, but I don't get to go to Jay that much so I usually have it everytime I'm there

absolutely like poutine.
Make it a home from time to time.
I've been in a hospital bed living off clear liquids the past three days. So yes, I would love some right meow.
Where do you get cheese curd? I never see it around here at all. In MA anyway.
Love the squeak from a good cheese curd, though!!!
I like "good" poutine but most poutine sucks. The fries need to be super-crispy... ideally fried in lard like you'd have in Belgium. T
They have them at some Hannafords. I bet they would at the Hannafords in Manchester, NH due to the large French population in the city. You might want to check the Whole Foods in Andover as well.
Most French Fries suck because they aren't double fried for that perfect blend of tender on the inside, crispy on the outside.
I recently purchased a new deep fryer and the thing is dangerous to have around. Super easy to clean and has an awesome feature; once the oil cools, it automatically gets filtered and drained into a container that stores right under the unit for the next use. No pouring the oil through cheese cloth into tupperware for future use.
I think it's as good as you'll find on the market for home use. You can even get the exact same model with Emeril's name on it for an additional $50.
On Amazon for $99 with prime shipping.
Price went down about $15 since I got it last month on Amazon. I paid $115. Ordered mine though Amazon with points from my Chase CC. Pretty slick you can now use Chase points direct on Amazon instead of having to order limited merchandise direct from their Rewards website.
