Although unlikely, I wouldn't rule out Killington for this weekend. They did project and opening date of 11/11 and the temps will be coming down as of tomorrow night.

i still say it's only november 8th and folks need to calm down. if only people got this excited about snow in late march into april and in some places early may when there was still snow on the ground?! a brown mountain in november isn't sad, it's normal. it is all up to mother nature to provide snow making temps, sometimes she does early and sometimes not. ski areas have had to push back openings into december some years, close after thanksgiving and reopen due to bad weather conditions. now that would be something to get upset about. just my two cents here. i loved that freak snow storm and the results, but let's not delude ourselves on what typical novembers are like with fickle and often changing temps that regularly do not allow for snow making and white mountians.

Yes but the temps don't look consistent for firing the guns until the 17th on and then with snow in the forcast the evening of the 18th & 19th.... well who knows!
(This was according to accuweather.com at 10:50 am on 8th.... we all know this may change like in five minutes. :roll: )
Seriously tho, do you think K-Mart would fire the guns with such inconsitent temps or would they wait until temps are more consistent?

Well, don't forget, the temps you see are at lower elevations. Guess it depends on what they will be higher up. I see alot of freezing in the coming days with temps going into the 40s during the day. Idon't think that's all that bad.

Still working on picking the right small animal to kill. Can't do a kitten, I have 2 great cats.

In the meantime I continue to watch MSP - Hit List DVDs over and over again and spend a distirbing amount of one-on-one 'special' time with my skis.
