I know nobody gives an RA about my opinion. But it makes me way madder to see a mother smoking cigarettes near her kids, like cooped up in the car, than it would to see an (obviously) pregnant woman skiing. And i've seen the first, but not the second.
I gotta go. I think I'm ovulating!

I'm with ya 100% on that one!

Well except for the ovulating part...

I didn't really know what I signed up for when my wife and I decided to start a family, but it's worked out pretty much the way I expected it to. Children are precious and deserve to have both parents' attention.
I have to agree with you on that one. Besides your kids may be changing your diaper someday.

I was on a airplane going home from a business trip with every seat full. The seat next to me this guy is holding his 2 year old that screamed most of the flight. His wife was not on the plane. I had 3 small kids at home at the time so I had a lot of patience with his kid screaming in my ear. Its not like anyone could do anything anyway. This father tells me that his wife wanted to take care of the baby 30% of the time and he has to take care of the baby the other 70%. He said he put his foot down and made it 35% her and 65% him even though she makes more money than him. I looked at him and I had all I could do not to laugh in his face when he said that. TRUE STORY. This guy was an A$$ and should never have been a parent. Imagine discussing with your spouse parenting time for your children down to a 5 percent accuracy with the objective to spend the least amount of time with your children as possible. Ah why did this couple have kids again?

Sorry for the side thread.

Hey catskills, there's a couple up here (Maine) that makes that couple look like parents of the year.

These crackheads up here found out the cops were seeking them for burglary, so they collected their two daughters, age 16 months and just under three years, and ran with them into the woods. Long story short, first the dad, then the mother, come out of the woods. THEY LEFT THE KIDS THERE!

Those little girls spent the entire night in the woods, not dressed for the weather. Major search involving volunteers on the ground and planes up above, they were found okay. By the grace of God, it was a mild night and they came out with mild frostbite (since recovered).

Sometimes I think parenting should require an aptitude test and licensing.

Rule number 2 of Misc. Forum:

Now, I'll forget you ever posted that and we can go on with the discussion.

Sorry dude, the only rule I saw was NO POLITICS. :D

That's because Rule #1 and 2 are not written, they are KNOWN.

As you were.

And ctenidae, it is for sure, I am the one that is always right. I concede there is a slight possibility you may be always right when you debate as well.

Which leads me to think we should never debate anything lest we disagree, and the universe implodes.

It is truly amazing that you actually need a license to fish but they'll let any old schmuck raise a child!

If you look at the quality of people issuing fishing licenses I'd say it is a very good thing the same quality of people are not issues child bearing licenses.

Isn't it scary that there are parents who think this way? I'm always complaining I don't have enough time for my boys. Poor little kid probably senses his parents don't want him; that's why he's always crying. Skifastsailfast's addition above is even more appalling.

Unfortunately, it's not unheard of or even rare.
