I call it the "Six Pack" because it holds six pair, but also it can be built for about the cost of a good six pack of beer and can be put together and installed in less time it takes to drink a 6 pack.

This is V2.0 design, the first one held 4 pair but since I would need to hold more than that, it was back to the drawing board. Once I got past 4 pair of skis, the 3/4" PVC had too much flex. Time to make a 6 pack. My first one was a 3x2 set up (2 rows for 3 pair) but for where I needed to put it, the current 3+3 was a better design.

Clever, but how do you get them in there?

Also what kind of foam is on the pvc? It looks like pipe insulation.

Put them in. one tip at a time, the brakes hold them together or use a strap. Yep, just pipe insulation.

I like it, I wish I could put something up, but my little house is outta room for that. A friend of ours that patrols at Camelback made a boot dryer outta PVC and it dries 6 pairs at a time. PVC has endless uses.

You need to show off your in car ski rack as well. I'll probably build one myself this winter.

Phabulous Phil!

I like the pole hanging aspect. That's much nicer than my shelf bracket setup.

Inspirational, thanks for that. I was looking at some $60 four pair rack last year but just couldn't bring myself to do it for $60. I want some sort of organized ski rack for my four pairs currently in use but ain't gonna spend an arm and a leg. This gives me a few ideas.
