She's in all the Dork family prayers for a successful surgery and speed recovery.
Huh?? they won't let you sit with her in Recovery? HMPF.
I'm ahead of you on this one. Ran for the cafeteria as soon as they wheeled her in. Wanted to be sure I'm around when they finish..Get yourself some food in the hospital caf, Andy, gotta take care of yourself too. You'll be tapped for some more care of her.
Yes and yes, I spend the night last nightYou'll be sitting with her soon. Do you have a recliner in her room or are you elsewhere for the night? Will they let you stay tonight at the hospital?
Exactly, at first I wasn't sure what to do, have the surgery here or go home. We decided to do it here just for the reasons you state. As far as expertise goes, we figured a hospital in a ski town has plenty of experience with ski injuries.Glad there were no surprises. Immediate, competent, in-patient surgery beats a long painful trip home and trying to get admitted a day or so after the fact. Good that you didn't go that route.
Worry can't change tomorrow, but sure can take a bite out of today. Today is a done deal, now it is all in recovery. ON to the next challenges.
Best wishes to both of you.

Sorry about your wife's accident. It's amazing how some of the worst injuries occur on some of the least challenging terrain. Wish her well from the Wasatch Front. Hope she is healed and up to some turns by the time you guys are scheduled to come west.
