On our first run at Killington this season, my wife fell and messed up her ankle. She's in the hosital right now with torn ligaments and a fractureSurgery tomorrow.
Give Vee my best Andy....I guess thats the reason I did not see you guys out there. What trail were you guys on?
A rather abrupt way to kill the excitement of starting the season. Bummer.
Any insight into what happened? Binding release failure? Any ideas?

Killington, first run of the day, we were coming down Bunny Buster, then down Mouse Trap, which had huge bumps. She took a turn around a bump, ski got caught in the heavy snow and her leg kept on going. Wasn't even a bad fall, I actually laughed at her and made a comment as she very slowly slid down. Then I notice that she wasn't trying to stop herself, I thought something maybe wrong, it was. Got the sled, ambulance, and now here I sit in the hospital.Don't believe it was an issue with the binding, she's taken falls before and they release with no problem, I will have them checked out though. I believe it's just the manner in which she fell. She wasn't going fast, so there wasn't that much pressure on the binding when her leg twisted.

Andy, best wishes to your wife from all of us at Mount Snow. Let us know how everything goes.
Well on the bright side, at least she got in a good day of skiing at Mt. Snow.![]()
