Seriously...WTF legitimate ski area is actually going to pay and rely on reports from an amateur?
Also, what sort of moronic pricing structure is that? Four times the price for two more users? No idea what his logic behind that was, it being for "business" makes it worth 4x as much?

That's actually not entirely unusual... I've seen that type of pricing from other services over the years.

The business subscription strikes me as extortion. Larger operations will not use him for real info but the $199 " subscription" will prevent any bad reviews or comments to stay .

No doubt that Skiology Matt has already picked the actor to play him in the "made for TV" movie documenting this and his struggle to be the authority of internet ski wisdom.
Need a new version of Paul Giamatti, like when he played Pig Vomit in Private parts.. that's the perfect embodiment of skidstain matt.

“I was the only one covering the ski industry willing to talk about the impending pandemic closures in 2020 before it happened. I was the first to cover Vail Resorts' difficult labor shortages in 2021 and the effects on operations that were experienced.”

Sure you were... 🤮

Apparently he considers himself the Woodward/Bernstein of the ski world!

Unbelievable how full of himself this guy is...

Did a free subscription and expect I will pay $24 for the premium one. He presents ski condition and weather info in a digestible manner for me that has improved my ski experiences and if he makes a material improvement to one ski day a year for me it is worth that.

Serious question and I'm not trying to start a flame war on you.

What is it he provides that you think is worth $2 a month?

We all have creature comforts thst we subscribe to, so in reality it's not that much money spent.

Serious question? what does he offer (as an untrained meteorologist) that I can get for free on 100 other websites?

I enjoy Single Chair weather blog,… although sometimes his site can go a bit deeper than I can understand. My other go to is the NWS,… seems to be fairly accurate. That site I pay for - with my taxes!

nothing. he consolidates information that is freely available elsewhere and pontificates to low information skiers and noobs.
