Well in that case, here's my money. Lol.

I havent followed or even commented on this yet but is this for real?

Serious question and I'm not trying to start a flame war on you.

What is it he provides that you think is worth $2 a month?

We all have creature comforts thst we subscribe to, so in reality it's not that much money spent.
I find he is pretty on point for mountain specific precipitation, accumulation, and ice and wind holds - and presents it in a timely fashion in a format that is easy to digest for me as someone not expert enough to get much out of NWS charts and who finds that free apps either speak to towns more than mountain or are overly rosy. As a multi mountain pass holder (Last year Epic and Indy, next year just Epic) I find he often helps he figure out where and when to go for the best ski experience. Also often helpful in planning driving times and routes.

I've gotten at least $24 of benefit from his content over the last 2 years for nothing (1 day that he directs me to a place with better ski / weather conditions would be worth that much to me), so I'll try paying for it this year to get the full content.

I spend thousands of dollars a year for myself and my kids to ski. This is a drop in the bucket.

Sure he's full of himself at times, I won't contest that.

Even if he benefited me at all (he doesn’t) I wouldn’t give him a dime just because of his toxic group and self righteous attitude. NWS is the gold standard for everything he “reports” plus they are free and have the added bonus of no rants/tirades included.

I'm curious how verbose he'll get without any Facebook formatting limit. Dude has about two ideas but spreads 'em over ten paragraphs.

Love all the people here on a site geared toward skiers and riders complaining about a guy who does NE ski conditions and weather better than anyone else. Who gives a shit what he wants to charge?

It's really more about him being a polarizing personality that says some gooberish things that are easy to poke fun at.

I could say the same thing about myself 👍

Wait until you read his Terms and Conditions: https://www.skiology.com/terms/

"Submissions: By directly sending us any question, comment, suggestion, idea, feedback, or other information about the Services ("Submissions"), you agree to assign to us all intellectual property rights in such Submission."
That's fairly normal. I've seen similar terms on other sites; I assume it's a CYA move so that someone can't email something and then claim you stole their idea when you did it (even if your may have already been planning to, it was obvious, etc).

That about page is something...I thought the most egregious boast was about the Gunstock saga. He did zero actual work and merely posted links and gave his BS take. Compare that to the excellent piece of journalism, with actual interviews and investigation, that Storm Skiing put out.

He does the weather fairly well and if it still only costs two bucks a month, I might get a subscription some time around Christmas. I have zero desire to read his takes on any ski related news, because they will be stolen from other sites with a helping of rambling bullshit that even he doesn't understand.

If you throw enough spitballs eventually they're bound to stick.

None of this is rocket science. To each their own but it seems crazy to charge money to attempt to predict skiing conditions. 2 days of hot piss rain, gee I bet the skiing is going to suck. 5 days of 10 degree cold, I bet places will make some snow. Also if scouring social media is breaking news first then get him a Pulitzer. No one at any ski area I know would spill the beans to this guy.
