Exactly, he acts like he has some deep industry connections and his followers believe it. Yet everyone I know in the industry thinks he is a shitstain…

Yup...and we've had people (that are in the industry) on this forum point blank say the same...

It's really more about him being a polarizing personality that says some gooberish things that are easy to poke fun at.

I could say the same thing about myself 👍
I would say the same for this very web site too. Only it’s multiple of those “personality” poking fun at each other. ;)

But for me, and for many others, as long as we get a tiny bit of convenience of information out of it, it’s worth putting up with the personality. So I totally understand why/how anyone will follow this other guy, even though I don’t personally. No difference really than staying on this site. (Ok, it’s free. But $2 isn’t “real money”).

And there's another extension -> https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/47604315/Skiology,_LLC_v_Bramble And it's interesting that there is an amended complaint. WTF is going on here?
Guessing his recent all known previous contacts of Skiology plea for funding email didn't get the results he was hoping for and he's now attempting to slow walk this as long as he can to try and generate some more $$ for various fees and damages he may end up being responsible for

It is interesting to see the different perspectives on Matt. From my small sampling of his work and seeing his reactions to critisim, I tend to not really like the product or the person I guess but Hate is a stong word.

I also have always followed other local forecasters like Scott Braaten at Stowe, AJ LaRosa formerly at Famous Internet Skiers, Josh Fox at Mad River (Although he sometimes is a little over stated, LOL) and Tim Kelly's blog. These forecasts are much more independent and level headed in my opinion.

I think one of the things that seperate the one's that you mentioned from Matt, is that the other's seem quite comfortable enough and humble to own when one of their calls on a weather event doesn't pan out. Matt tends to go into full excuse mode at that point and might try and cherry pick 1 isolated data point to show that he was right. TK is fully my favorite to follow out of those you mentioned, as year round he has a great balance about pointing out the weather hype machine and it's absurdities at time 10 days out (like this morning on his twiiter feed and a possible big ocean storm hitting Nantucket in 2 weeks or so) and bringing some very high level forecasts that his years of knowledge as a professional meteorologist in New Enlgand before NECN ceremoniusly dumped him because of his political views at times, gives him

I am ROTFLAMO as to Matt's Facebook group. They are all doing "guess the ski area". Long time members here will remember that we had an epic thread on that topic like 18 years ago! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Ohhh......maybe I got my rooms mistaken.
I think I actually saw a post recently in Matt's group saying they were NOT going to allow those "where am I" posts in that group.

But yes, they've been non-stop in the "Ski the Northeast" group. Kind of annoying at this point.

And there's a new update. Does anyone know what his "answer" is? https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/47604315/Skiology,_LLC_v_Bramble
word is that they only way he would give up the name is if they paid him "one million dollars" so they are headed to trial...
